The Department of Network and Data Science is *the* first European Network Science department and still the leading one (now in collaboration with the Complexity Science Hub), many graph-based solutions such as GraphML and GNNs are well studied here

University. CEU is a relatively small, but core research university that moved to Vienna in 2019. CEU uses AI/ML applied in many research fields, most notably in cognitive science, network science and complexity science, economics etc. and also has theoretical AI research projects (Network and Data Science department). The EU founded HUMANE-AI-NET project included CEU scholars, CEU has professors and postdocs who presented at NeurIPS, etc.
